Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM II Lens to be Announced in Spring 2024?

SAR is rumoring that the Sony FE 85mm F1.4 GM II is likely to be announced in the spring of 2024. This appears to have been confirmed by two reliable sources.

Sony will finally update the current “FE 85mm F1.4 GM“. They have received information (rumor) from two reliable sources that this lens is scheduled to arrive by early summer. For this reason, he commented that the announcement itself will generally be made in the spring, one to two months in advance. For now, the source does not seem to want to share spec information (rumors), but the unconfirmed rumors indicate that it is the new “FE 85mm F1.4 GM II”. This new lens seems to have a significantly improved optical system and is slightly more compact.

Confirmation: The new “FE 85mm F1.4 GM II” will be announced in Spring 2024 and will arrive in early Summer 2024. Since it will be announced in the spring, it will probably be after CP+. There were rumors earlier that this lens would be F1.2, but it seems more likely that it will be smaller and lighter while keeping F1.4.
