New Zeiss Otus Wide Angle Prime Lens to be Announced in September

Zeiss will announce a new wide angle prime Otus lens in September of this year, according to the trusted source.

A 35mm Otus lens is confirmed to be announced soon, but this time the new wide angle prime Otus lens will be wider and likely 24mm, but could be announced as a “25mm” lens. The aperture of this new lens is still unknown.

You know, Zeiss has released two new Otus lenses: Zeiss Otus 55mm f/1.4 lens and Zeiss Otus 85mm f/1.4 Lens. The new Otus 85mm is without question the most desirable and best performing 85mm portrait lens available. Zeiss Otus 85mm f/1.4 prime lens scored 49 points, just one point less than the Zeiss Otus 55mm f/1.4 lens.

This new wide angle prime Otus lens should have the same aperture as the Otus 55mm f/1.4 and Otus 85mm f/1.4 Lenses.

Stay tuned for more info.
