Confirmed: Leica Q2 to be Announced on March 6th, 2019

It is now confirmed that the Leica Q2 full frame compact camera will be announced on March 6th, 2019.

Here is what we know so far about the new Leica Q2 camera:

  • 47.3MP sensor, the same as the Panasonic S1R
  • Additional “digital zoom” crop option at 75mm focal length (currently only 28mm, 35mm and 50mm are available in the current Leica Q model)
  • 4K video
  • Dust-proof and drip-proof
  • Organic EL EVF
  • No changes to form factor, focal length (28mm), or aperture (f/1.7)
