Sony RX100 IV DxOMark Sensor Review: As Good As Canon 7D Mark II Sensor!

DxOMark published their sensor review and test results for the new Sony RX100 IV compact camera, which is currently in stock at Amazon for $948.

The Sony RX100 IV sensor performs very well and it gets an overall DxOMark sensor score of 70 points. This sensor score is as good as the Canon’s 7D Mark II DSLR camera and EOS 760D.

From DxOMark:

For a physically small sensor, the new 20-Mpix Exmor RS BSI CMOS chip ranks high, coming in at 116th in our database for sensors of all sizes. Performance ranks alongside recent Micro-Four-Thirds models and even APS-C-equipped DSLR models such as the Canon EOS 7D Mk II and EOS 760D.
