Two New Canon 8K Cinema EOS Cameras Coming in 2021

The latest rumor suggests that Canon is planning to announce two new 8K Cinema EOS cameras in 2021. One will be a flagship camera with “A camera” aspirations, just like the the Canon Cinema EOS C700, while the other is a modular camera with the similar positioning to the Cinema EOS C300 Mark III and Cinema EOS C500 Mark II. The two Canon 8K Cinema EOS cameras are expected to be announced around the NAB 2021 in April.

Looking back at the K8C camera that Canon has shown many times before, this model is equipped with Canon’s new 8K Super 35mm CMOS sensor, supports 8K/60p video recording, and can output ultra-high-definition 8K RAW images with approximately 35.39 million effective pixels (8192× 4320), which is equivalent to 4 times the 4K image. In terms of mobility, the K8C weighs only about 1.9kg and is light and compact enough for photographers to move quickly and frequently. In terms of ease of use, the K8C uses the same RAW format as the external output of the CINEMA EOS system, which is highly compatible with the existing workflow. In terms of operation, the K8C ‘s body, buttons and menus follow the design of the EOS C300 Mark II, which is more in line with the photographer’s habits.

The new Canon EOS R5 is capable of 8K30p Raw and 4K120p video recording, and it is selling like hot cakes. So order now to get it ASAP if you are interested.
