Sony a9 II Rumored to be Announced in September 2019

The 2020 Summer Olympics will start in Tokyo on July 24, 2020 and Canon & Nikon are planning to announce their new flagship DSLR cameras for the sports photography. And now it seems that Sony will join the sports game via their new flagship Sony a9 II mirrorless camera.

The latest rumor suggests the upcoming Sony a9 II mirrorless camera will be announced in September 2019 with the release date for the end of 2019, just ahead of the 2020 Summer Olympics. Hope we can see the Sony a9 II, Canon EOS-1D X Mark III, Nikon D6 announcements in the next several months.

In addition, Sony has developed at least three new full frame image sensors:

  • IMX455 (60MP, 8K Video, Low Version of IMX551)
  • IMX551 (60MP)
  • IMX555 (102MP, 6K Video)

The Sony a9 mirrorless camera is now $1000 off at Amazon, B&H, Adorama for $3,498.
