Sony a7S III to Have 36MP Full Frame 8K Sensor, Shoot 4K at 480fps

Many filmmakers are waiting for the new Sony a7S III mirrorless camera, which will go beyond the customers’ expectations and to be a really innovative product. Recently the detailed specifications of a new Sony 36 megapixel full frame 8K sensor have leaked online.

The sensor is designed for native 8K at 60p in 10bit, and it can shoot 4K video at 480fps. And it is highly likely this sensor will be used on the upcoming Sony a7S III or Sony a7R IV.

In addition, there is a possibility that this sensor is for a full frame version of the Sony FS7 Mark II.
