Samyang officially announced the new AF 18mm f/2.8 FE lens for Sony E mount mirrorless cameras. The US price is $399, and it is now available for pre-order at B&H, Adorama. Shipping is scheduled to start at the beginning of October 2019.

optimized for portability, compactness, and ergonomic handling. It is Samyang’s fourth compact lens designed speci cally for Sony mirrorless cameras that is surprisingly capable for its size. At 5.12oz in weight and 1.99″ in length, it is the most compact, lightweight, and a ordable super-wide angle full frame lens for Sony E mount.

The 18mm focal length provides a rectilinear 100.1° super wide angle view that is especially suitable for landscape, interior, architectural, and night sky applications. For Sony APS-C sensor cameras, the focal length is equivalent to 27mm with a 76.2° eld of view.

On the 29th of August 2019, Global Optics Manufacturer Samyang Optics(www.samyanglensglobal) announced the launch of their AF 18mm F2.8 FE. The new lens only weighs 145g (without the hood and cap), which makes it the lightest and smallest 18mm ultra-wide-angle auto focus lens in the current market.
