New Sony E-mount 4K Camcorder Rumored Specs, Announcement on September 11

Sony will launch a new press conference at the IBC show in Amsterdam at 9am CET on September 11, 2015. And they will announce their new innovations, the latest technologies and products. You can follow the event live at the Sony UK official site.

It is confirmed that Sony will announce a new E-mount 4K camcorder, and according to the highly trusted sources, Sony’s new 4K camcorder prototype has the same Sony a7S sensor and internal 4K recording.

And here are the rumored specs of the new Sony E-mount 4K camcorder:

New Sony F cam Friday is S35, not FF. 4K internally, but 8 bit XAVC-L (note the L) 100 Mbit max. No HFR as far as I can tell, 30fps max in 4K. Looks like a baby FS7. Price will be between old FS700 and current FS7, likely $5,000-6,500 USD. Differentiation on FS7 is much better CODEC, higher frame rates (incl 60p 4K), option for RAW and ProRes, bigger build.

If you like 4K video recording and think the Sony a7RII and a7S are too small for your 4K recording, you can pay more attention to this new FS E-mount 4K camcorder.

And, the rumors said the new Sony A6100 / A7000 will be announced along with this 4K camcorder. Hope this will happen!
