New Canon EF 70-300mm Lens Confirmed to Have USM

We already reported that Canon will announce a new 70-300mm lens (70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS successor) this summer. It is highly likely that this new 70-300mm lens will be announced in late August before the Photokina 2016.

According to the report from CanonRumors, it is already confirmed that this new 70-300mm lens will have USM, not STM like the EF 24-105 f/3.5-5.6 IS. So the name of this new lens should be Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM Lens.

Currently, the detailed specs and pricing info of this new lens are still unknown, but it will be an update to replace current non-telephoto zoom L / DO lens. And I hope Canon will announce this new 70-300mm lens along with the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV.
