Fujifilm Medium Format Camera Coming at Photokina 2016?

On January 15, Fujifilm announced several new products: Fujifilm X-Pro2, X-E2s, X70, FinePix XP90 cameras and XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lens. And, Fujifilm said that they are testing the medium format camera along with the big X-Pro2 announcement. Today here is a new rumor about Fujifilm medium format camera.

According to the rumor coming out of Fuji Rumors, Fujifilm is indeed working on a medium format system and the system has already gotten the green light from upper management. This info is confirmed by one of their top Japanese sources. And the rumors from a new anonymous source (Take it with a Grain of Salt) said that this new medium format camera could be ready to be announced as soon as this year, probably at Photokina 2016 in September. If Fujifilm wants to make such a big announcement, Photokina is expected to be the right place to make it.

A new Fujifilm medium format camera, if priced somewhere between the Pentax 645D and the Pentax 645Z, will be a huge deal.

In addition, Fujifilm will announce a new super fast XF 33mm f/1.0 lens in the next few months, probably in September at Photokina 2016. That will be an amazing lens if the rumors are true! The detailed specs and price are still unknown.
