According to the latest rumors, Canon will announce a new RF 400mm f/4 DO IS USM super telephoto short focus lens in 2024.

Recently, Nikon has been enhancing its lineup of telephoto lenses, the new Nikon NIKKOR Z 400mm f/4.5 VR S Lens has been announced, and it seems that Canon is also stepping up by introducing a single-focus DO lens. The optical system of this new DO lens is reported to be a new design. It is particularly interesting to see how much the weaknesses of DO lenses, such as backlight resistance, have been improved, and the extent to which the size has been reduced.
