Canon RF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM Lens Coming in 2020

We have previously reported that Canon is currently working hard on a new RF 500mm f/4L IS USM Super Telephoto Prime lens, which will be the first super telephoto lens for the RF mount.

Today we’re told that Canon will announce a new RF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM lens sometime in 2020, which will come with a “new and unique” feature. The details are still unknown, but the Canon RF 500mm f/4L IS USM & RF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM lenses will be probably announced together in 2020. And maybe we’ll see more professional RF mount lens announcements in 2020.

In addition, the source did clarify that the new versions of the EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II and EF 500mm f/4L IS II will NOT come in the near future.
