The upcoming Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark III camera is expected to be announced in mid October, probably on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. And it will have a 24MP APS-C sensor instead of the 1.5″ sensor (in the current G1 X MKII). Here are the updated specifications of Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark III.

Reminder: Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark III will be the only G series PowerShot camera that will be announced in mid October, no more G series camera. Other PowerShot camera like PowerShot G3 X Mark II is expected to be announced at CES 2018 which begins on January 9, 2018.
