Canon EOS R5 Mark II, EOS R1 & RF 35mm f/1.4L to be Announced around May 22

Canon Rumors on X (Twitter) is rumoring that Canon may announce “EOS R5 Mark II“, “EOS R1 (development)” and “RF 35mm F1.4L” around May 21st to May 23rd, 2024.

All signs are pointing to May 21-May 23, 2024 for Canon’s EOS R5 Mark II, EOS R1 (development) and RF 35mm f/1.4L announcements.

Since the EOS R1 seems to be a development announcement, the official announcement is likely to be a little later, but in any case, it seems very likely that these cameras will appear in the near future.

In a subsequent exchange, he also mentioned the following:

EOS R5 Mark II shipping June/July. EOS R1 shipping in Q4 of 2024. The lens, not sureā€¦. I’m sure it’ll be a giant PITA to get for the first 6-8 months.

As previously rumored, the Canon EOS R5 Mark II will be released in the summer. Like the EOS R5, I’m wondering if it’s difficult to obtain the first production batch. The Canon EOS R1 seems to be released in Q4 2024, so the official announcement may not be made until winter.
