Canon EOS R5 Firmware Update Version 1.30 Coming Soon

The next firmware update version 1.30 for Canon EOS R5 is expected to be released sometime in April 2021. And currently, there is no information about firmware updates for the Canon EOS R6 or Canon EOS-1D X Mark III.

Improvements for the next Canon EOS R5 firmware:

  • Canon Cinema RAW light addition
  • C-Log 3
  • 1080p @ 120fps
  • New Codec(s)
  • Bug fixes

And Canon has more long-term plans to add features to both the Canon EOS R5 and Canon EOS R6 over the next 12-24 months.
