70MP+ Canon EOS R Body Coming in Q4 of 2019

Several months ago the rumors said Canon is currently developing a new EOS R mirrorless camera with more than 70 megapixels to replace the current Canon EOS 5DS and EOS 5DS R. And today according to CanonRumors, this new 70MP+ Canon EOS R camera will probably be announced in Q4 of 2019.

So, If the rumor turns out to be true, the 70MP+ Canon EOS R mirrorless camera will keep Canon at the top of the full-frame sensor resolution rankings, and would push it way beyond its rivals: 42.2MP Sony a7R III, 45.7MP Nikon D850, 45.7MP Nikon Z7 and 47.3MP Panasonic S1R.

In addition, this 70MP+ Canon EOS R is expected to have IBIS, dual card slots, joystick and maybe the DIGIC 9 image processor.

At CP+ 2019 Canon announced the development of 6 RF lenses (to be released in late 2019):
