Up to 7 New Canon RF Lenses Coming in 2019

Canon is rumored to announce up to 7 new RF lenses for Canon EOS R full frame mirrorless camera in 2019, though a few may not start shipping until early 2020.

Rumored Canon RF Lenses for 2019:

  • RF 16-35mm f/2.8L (or similar)
  • RF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS (or similar)
  • RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS (or similar)
  • RF 105mm f/1.4L
  • RF 85mm f/1.8 IS STM
  • RF Macro lens
  • RF non-L kit lens

In addition to these new RF lenses, Canon is also working hard on several wide-angle prime lenses, which are expected to be announced in early 2020. And, a non-L kit lens for the Canon EOS R will probably announced alongside an entry-level EOS R body, which will arrive in the first half of 2019.

So, the good news for Canon fans is that Canon is planning to release at least 15 new RF mirrorless lenses in the next 30-36 months.
