5 New Canon PowerShot Cameras Announced at CES 2015

Five New Canon PowerShot Cameras have been announced at Consumer Electronics Show – CES 2015. The new models are ranging from budget ELPHs to midrange superzooms.

The 5 new Canon PowerShot digital cameras are: Canon PowerShot ELPH 160, Canon PowerShot ELPH 170 IS, Canon PowerShot SX530 HS, Canon PowerShot SX610 HS, Canon PowerShot SX710 HS.

The PowerShot SX710 HS uses the faster DIGIC 6 processor along with a 20MP BSI-CMOS sensor. The PowerShot SX610 HS is a superzoom has an F3.8-6.9, 25-450mm equiv. lens with ‘intelligent’ image stabilization. The PowerShot SX530 HS comes with built-in WiFi and offer a 50x optical zoom.

The compact ELPH cameras (known as IXUS outside of the US) is now Canon’s budget line. The first of the two new models is the PowerShot ELPH 170 IS, which has a 20MP CCD, F3.6-7.0 25-300mm lens, and optical image stabilization. The PowerShot ELPH 160, which has an F3.2-6.9, 28-224mm lens but no optical image stabilization.
