Rokinon Announces 50mm f/1.2 and 21mm f/1.4 Lenses for Mirrorless Cameras
Rokinon announced two new fast prime lenses for Canon EF-M mount, Sony E-mount (APS-C), Fujifilm X-mount (APS-C) and Micro Four Thirds mount mirrorless system cameras. And the two new lenses are: Rokinon 50mm f/1.2 Lens and Rokinon 21mm f/1.4 Lens.
Rokinon 50mm f/1.2 Lens
The new Rokinon 50mm f/1.2 Lens is an ideal fast portrait-length lens for selective focus control and a longer-than-normal perspective. The combination of the long perspective and bright f/1.2 maximum aperture enables extensive control over focus placement, which is further complemented by the manual focus design and rounded nine-blade diaphragm for a smooth bokeh quality. The lens construction incorporates a pair of aspherical elements to minimize chromatic aberrations and distortions for a cleaner, sharper image quality void of color fringing. An Ultra Multi-Coating has also been applied to boost contrast by suppressing lens flare and ghosting.
Rokinon 21mm f/1.4 Lens
Combining a wide-angle perspective with a fast maximum aperture, the new Rokinon 21mm f/1.4 Lens can work in variable lighting conditions. One extra-low dispersion element and a trio of aspherical elements are incorporated into the lens construction, and help to control aberrations and distortions for increased clarity and sharpness. The bright f/1.4 maximum aperture excels in difficult lighting conditions and also enables greater control over focus placement, which is further complemented by the manual focus design and rounded nine-blade diaphragm to produce a quality of bokeh. Additionally, an Ultra Multi-Coating has also been applied to all lens elements to reduce lens flare and ghosting for increased contrast and color fidelity when working in harsh lighting conditions.
Both Rokinon 50mm f/1.2 Lens and Rokinon 21mm f/1.4 Lens will be released on October 7th, 2015.
