Fujifilm X-H2S Will Be Priced at $2,499

The Fujifilm X-H2S will be officially announced at X Summit OMIYA 2022 on May 31, 2022 at 10:00 PM (JST). And this new Fujifilm X-H2S mirrorless camera will be priced at $2,499.

Given that the Fujifilm X-T4 was priced at $1699 and the X-H1 at $1899, the Fujifilm X-H2S is likely to be the most expensive APS-C X camera ever. But at $2499 it’s a full size with a stacked sensor. That said, it’s a lot cheaper than the full-size stacked CMOS sensor-equipped model (Sony a1, Nikon Z9, Canon EOS R3), and it’s about the same price range as the Micro Four Thirds stacked model (reference: OM-1 $2199). You should feel that it is affordable for a stacked CMOS sensor model.

Although it depends on the specifications of the entire camera, the current leak information suggests that the Fujifilm X-H2S is a cheap price for an APS-C machine equipped with a stacked sensor.

The “Fujifilm X Summit OMIYA 2022” will be held on May 31, 2022 at 10:00 PM (JST). Apparently, this event will be delivered live instead of recorded video. So far, the official announcement of “X-H2S“, “XF150-600mm” and “XF18-120mm” is considered to be promising, and the “X-H2” and “XF56mmF1.2 successor lens” are in the form of some kind of development announcement. I think there are many X users who are paying attention to the fact that the last event was full of surprises. Maybe another surprise will become a real thing at this event.
