Tamron SP 35mm f/1.8 and 45mm f/1.8 Di VC USD Lenses Announced

Tamron announced two new prime lenses today: Tamron SP 35mm f/1.8 Di VC USD Lens and Tamron SP 45mm f/1.8 Di VC USD Lens. Available for Canon EF mount, Nikon F mount and Sony A mount (No VC), the two new Tamron prime lenses are both priced at $599.00 in US, and both of them will begin shipping on Sep 29.

We know that Tamron usually produces zoom lenses, so it is really surprising to see the first two SP models are fixed focal lengths primes, boasting new design values inside and out. Both lenses offer extremely high image quality even when used at the widest aperture, and that they have extraordinary close-focus abilities.

Tamron Di lenses are suitable for use on both full frame and APS-C sensor cameras, and the VC designation indicates that they use the company’s Vibration Compensation system.

Now Tamron SP 35mm f/1.8 and 45mm f/1.8 Di VC USD Lenses are available for pre-order online:

Tamron SP 35mm f/1.8 Di VC USD lens: $599 at B&H
Tamron SP 45mm f/1.8 Di VC USD lens: $599 at B&H
