Hasselblad H6D-100c (100MP) and H6D-50c Medium Format Cameras Announced

Hasselblad officially announced two new H6D medium format DSLR cameras: Hasselblad H6D-100c and Hasselblad H6D-50c. The H6D range introduces the H6D-100c with CMOS sensor, a 100MP option and the H6D-50c with a 50MP CMOS sensor. A wider range of shutter speeds from 60 minutes to 1/2000th of a second, increased ISO range and a faster shooting rate along with USB 3.0 Type-C connector that delivers exceptionally fast file transfer. The H lens range is fully compatible and, with the choice of a faster shutter speed, can be further leveraged than with previous ranges.

The US price of Hasselblad H6D-100c is $32,995 and it will be released in early June, 2016. The Hasselblad H6D-50c is priced at $25,995 and the shipping will start at the end of April, 2016.

  • Dual CFast and SD Memory Card Slots
  • Built-In Wi-Fi, USB 3.0 Type-C
  • Includes Body, Back, HVD 90x Viewfinder

Coupled with an enhanced electronic platform with faster processing capabilities, continuous shooting speeds up to 1.5 fps are possible, as well as the ability to shoot both UHD 4K and Full HD video at 30 fps in the Hasselblad RAW format. Now suitable for multimedia image-makers, the H6D maintains its exceptional stills recording capabilities and adds versatile video recording abilities to its skill-set. In addition, Hasselblad announced several new H Lenses to incorporate a new shutter unit capable of the faster shutter speed of the H6D (1/2,000).
