The Next Canon EOS R5 Firmware Update Coming Soon

The latest rumor suggests that Canon will release a new firmware update for Canon EOS R5 mirrorless camera around the ship date for the Canon EOS R3. The Canon EOS R3 is scheduled to start shipping on November 26, 2021.

Most likely the new firmware update added support for the Canon RF 5.2mm f/2.8L Dual Fisheye Lens and Bug fixes.
