Tamron officially announced the new SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 lens (Model A032) for Canon and Nikon DSLR cameras. The US price is $1,199, $100 less than the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 Art lens ($1,299), while the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR lens is $2,396.95, the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM is $1,699. The Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2 lens will start shipping in August for Nikon F-mount and September for Canon EF mount.
