The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 VII was officially announced on July 25, 2019 and it comes with an all-new 1.0-type stacked 20.1 MP Exmor RS CMOS image sensor, the latest-generation BIONZ X image processor, a 24-200mm F2.8-4.5 zoom lens, Sony a9‘s speed, eye AF plus 4K video and more. This 24–200mm zoom lens is complemented by 0.02-sec. super fast AF, new Real-time Tracking and Real-time Eye AF, plus enhanced image stabilization and an external microphone jack for high-quality movie shooting. In addition, the Sony RX100 VII offers a 357 focal-plane phase-detection AF points and 425 contrast-detection AF points, 4K UHD XAVC S recording at 100 Mbps, and it debuts a new drive mode, Single Burst Shooting, for capturing high-speed shot at up to 90fps in JPEG/RAW format utilizing the anti-distortion shutter. And for the first time in a compact camera, the RX100 VII introduces advanced Real-time Tracking and Real-time Eye AF capabilities. Simply put, the Sony RX100 VII is a versatile choice for all types of shooting scenarios and users.

Sony is scheduled to start shipping the RX100 VII pre-orders on August 16, 2019, and it is expected to be one of the best selling compact cameras in 2019.
