Sony FE 16-35mm f/2.8 GM to be Announced This Month, FE 135mm GM Coming Soon!

At NAB 2017, Sony announced the new Sony a9 ($4,498 at Amazon, B&H, Adorama) high end full frame E mount mirrorless camera and the FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS lens ($2,498 at Amazon, B&H, Adorama), but they didn’t announce the FE 16-35mm f/2.8 GM lens. But that doesn’t mean we have to wait for a few more months…

According to the report from SAR, the new Sony FE 16-35mm f/2.8 GM lens is ready for announcement and Sony will announce this FE 16-35mm f/2.8 GM lens this month. In addition, Sony will announce a new FE 135mm GM portrait lens, and this lens will be faster than the newly announced Zeiss Batis 135mm f/2.8 ($1,999), the aperture is expected to be f/2 or f/1.8.

But I have to remind you that this info is from a new source, NOT confirmed by trusted sources, so just take it with a grain of salt.
