Sony a7R IIIA and a7R IVA Pre-orders Will Start on May 17

Nokishita reports that the Sony a7R IIIA and a7R IVA pre-orders will start on Monday May 17, 2021. The Sony a7R IIIA will be priced at ￥361,900 in Japan while the Sony a7R IVA will cost ￥438,900.

Both new models include several upgrades from the a7R III and a7R IV cameras:

  • LCD screen resolution changed from 1.44 million dots to 2,359,296 dots
  • Both cameras are now compatible with USB 3.2 (SuperSpeed USB 5Gbps)
  • No Sony logo under the LCD screen (see above picture)
  • The battery life has also been updated
