Ricoh officially announced the new Pentax K-70 DSLR camera and HD Pentax-DA 55-300mm f/4.5-6.3 ED PLM WR RE lens.
The advanced entry-level Pentax K-70 DSLR camera features a 24.24MP APS-C CMOS sensor and PRIME MII image processor, and it is capable of capturing high quality images in extremely low-light conditions and continuous stills shooting up to 6 fps. The US price of Pentax K-70 camera body is $649.95, with a 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 AL (IF) DC WR lens for $899.95. Shipping is scheduled to start at the beginning of July.

The new HD PENTAX-DA 55-300mm F4.5-6.3ED PLM WR RE lens is an 84.5-460mm equivalent telephoto zoom designed for APS-C-format K-mount DSLRs. This new compact, weather-resistant telephoto zoom lens provides enhanced autofocus performance and outstanding optical performance. It has a retail price of $399.96 and it is expected to be released in July.
