Panasonic G9, GH5s and BGH1 Firmware Updates Released

Panasonic has released the new firmware update Ver.2.5 for G9, firmware update Ver.2.2 for GH5s and firmware update Ver.2.3 for BGH1.

Panasonic G9 Firmware Version 2.5

  1. Expanded compatibility with DJI Gimbal
    – Active Track Function of DJI Gimbal “DJI RS 2” and “DJI RSC 2” can be used.
    * All functions may not be available depending on the situation.

  2. Added functions
    – [Focus Ring Control] function has been added.

Panasonic GH5s Firmware Version 2.2

  1. RAW video data output over HDMI to Blackmagic Video Assist 12G HDR
    – [4K] / [Anamorphic (4:3) 3.7K] 12-bit RAW video data can be output over HDMI to Blackmagic Video Assist 12G HDR, to be recorded as Blackmagic RAW.
    * All functions may not be available depending on the situation.
    * DaVinci Resolve or DaVinci Resolve Studio is required to play back the Blackmagic RAW data.
    DaVinci Resolve Studio is required to edit the Blackmagic RAW data.
  2. Expanded compatibility with DJI Gimbal

    – Zoom operation of the LUMIX G power zoom lenses can be controlled from LUMIX Tether for Multicam.
    * The firmware of LUMIX Tether for Multicam software is also required to be updated to Ver.1.3 or higher.
