Olympus E-M1 Mark II Rumored to be Announced at Photokina 2016

The rumor mill is back with some information about the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera – Olympus will announce the new flagship Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II Micro Four Thirds camera at the Photokina 2016.

A photographer visited the LCE (London Camera Exchange) PRO CAMERA Show in Southamton (UK) and he spoke with one of the Olympus Reps, the Olympus rep said that the company has scheduled the Olympus E-M1 Mark II announcement event for Photokina 2016 and this new Micro Four Thirds camera will be on sale in October 2016.

Currently, the detailed specs of Olympus E-M1 Mark II camera are still unknown, but it will be “vastly improved compared to the EM1“. And according to the source, the flagship Olympus E-M1 Mark II will be aimed at professional sports photographers and it “would DEFINATELY be much improved for that type of fast moving capture”.

It isn’t clear whether 4K would be included in the Olympus E-M1 Mark II, there is no confirmation of 4K video recording around the net.
