Olympus to Announce a New Fast Telephoto Prime Lens in 2017

The Current Olympus ED 300mm f/4 IS PRO Lens

Olympus is planning to announce a new fast telephoto prime lens in 2017. The focal length, aperture and detailed specs of this lens are still unknown.

In 2016 Olympus released the new M.Zuiko ED 300mm f/4 IS PRO lens ($2,499 at Amazon, B&H, Adorama) – it is really huge, excellent and expensive, but not fast enough for lots of photographers, especially for sports and wildlife photography in low light. Personally speaking I would like to see Olympus to lanuch a new f/1.4 or f/1.8 lens – A fast lens is more versatile and usually has faster focusing and it will be very useful for indoor sports & outdoor sports in low light.
