Nikon will Announce 3 New Compact Cameras with 1″ Sensor and Different Focal Lengths in Early 2016

As I mentioned yesterday, the long awaited Nikon high-end/premium compact camera will be announced in early 2016. Today, there are some more infomation about the Nikon high-end/premium compact camera – Nikon will announce 3 new compact cameras with 1″ sensor and different focal lengths in Early 2016. All the three models will have a 1″ sensor and Some (or all) cameras are expected to have a hot shoe and an optional/external EVF.

  • Wide angle version: 18-50mm f/1.8-2.8
  • Normal range: 24-85mm f/1.8-2.8
  • Superzoom: 24-500mm f/2.8-5.6

These 3 new compact cameras will be marketed as “always in your bag” and will be targeted for advanced/semi-professional photographers.
