Nikon Released New Firmware Updates for COOLPIX P900 and S6700 Cameras

Nikon released new firmware update version 1.2 for COOLPIX P900 (out of stock at Amazon, B&H, Adorama, check at eBay) and firmware version 1.1 for COOLPIX S6700. You can download the new firmware using the links below:

Changes from Firmware Version 1.1 to 1.2:

  • An effort was made to fix an issue that prevented the shutter being released using the optional ML-L3 remote control when a person or object was immediately behind the camera. You should nevertheless select Off for EVF auto toggle in the camera setup menu when using the ML-L3.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the shutter to be released only once if the optional ML-L3 remote control was operated during movie recording, after which movie recording could not be ended using the movie-record button.

  • Fixed an issue that in rare circumstances caused the camera to freeze with the lens extended when the power was turned on.
