Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 600mm f/5.6 PF Lens Coming Soon

A trusted source said Nikon will announce a new AF-S NIKKOR 600mm f/5.6 PF lens in next several months. Although the exact announcement date is still unknown, but we expect to see the NIKKOR 600mm f/5.6 PF lens in Summer, probably in June-August 2018.

Nikon patented a 600mm f/5.6 full frame Phase Fresnel (PF) lens in February 2018 and it is 33cm long. This AF-S NIKKOR 600mm f/5.6 PF lens is expected to be significantly lighter and cheaper than the current Nikon 600mm f/4E FL ED VR lens (43mm long). And of course this Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 600mm f/5.6 PF lens will be an ideal lens for Nikon D850 for sports, wildlife, and nature shooting.

Reminder: Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/4E PF ED VR Lens ($1,996.95) is currently the only Phase Fresnel (PF) lens from Nikon.
