New Nikon 200-500mm Full Frame Zoom Lens Coming Soon

Nikon will announce a new 200-500mm full frame zoom lens, according to the latest rumors. The aperture of this new 200-500mm lens is still unknown.

In the past few years, Nikon has filed several patents for a 200-500mm lens with different variable aperture ranges: f/3.5-5.6, f/4-5.6 and even a joint patent with Tamron for a 200-500mm f/4.5-5.6 lens.

And, there are some similar lenses in the market:

Sigma 200-500mm f/2.8 EX DG APO IF Autofocus Lens: $25,999 at Amazon, B&H

Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD Lens: $1,069 at Amazon, B&H

Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 200-400mm f/4G ED VR II Lens: $6,249 at Amazon. $6,996.95 at B&H

The new Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 VR lens will also come soon, but I am not sure if the two new lenses will be announced together.
