New Firmware Coming to the Canon EOS R5

Canon is planning to announce a new firmware update for the Canon EOS R5 mirrorless camera to add the following features:

  • Addition of Cinema RAW light option to 8K recording
  • Addition of CLog 3
  • Increased record time limits (but don’t expect a huge boost)
  • Various bug fixes

These features are what’s coming first, but it may not come all at once in a single firmware update. It seems that Canon is doing their best to address the most critical points about the Canon EOS R5. These firmware updates will be released very soon, probably before the release of Canon EOS R6. And the next batch of Canon EOS R5 will be shipped out with the new firmware update. So just stay tuned with us for more Canon Rumors.
