New Canon 135mm Lens Coming in Q4 of 2017

A few days ago we reported that Canon is planning to announce a new EF 135mm f/2L IS USM lens in 2017, just after the new EF 85mm f/1.4L IS lens has started shipping. And Canon already filed a new patent for 135mm f/2 lens with apodization filters.

Today according to the report from CanonRumors, this new Canon EF 135mm lens will NOT replace the current EF 135mm f/2L USM model – it will be “unique” to the lineup. And this new Canon EF 135mm lens is scheduled to be announced in Q4 of 2017. The detailed specs and announcement date are still unknown at the moment. Just stay tuned!
