New $799 Canon Full-Frame RF Mount Camera Coming in 2022

It seems that Canon is planning to announce a new full-frame RF mount mirrorless camera for $799 USD in 2022. Currently, the exact announcement date and detailed specifications are still unknown.

If it turns out to be true, this new camera will be the lightest and most compact full-frame EOS camera to date and the cheapest full frame camera from Canon. The Canon EOS RP was officially announced in February 2019 with a launch price of $1,299 USD (body only). So, launching a new full-frame RF mount camera at $799 would be quite welcomed. And it’s interesting to see how much performance can be achieved at this price. Also, I would like to see more inexpensive RF lenses that are suitable for this camera.
