Leica SL (Typ 601) with 24-90mm Lens Will Cost Over 10,000 Euro

Leica will announce their completely new Leica SL (Typ 601) Full Frame mirrorless camera on October 20! And the new Leica SL (Typ 601) camera with 24-90mm Lens will cost a little bit over 10,000 Euro, more expensive than a Leica M camera.

Reminder: Leica will announce three new interchangeable SL lenses for the Leica SL camera. These three new lenses are:

– Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 1: 2.8-4 / 24-90 mm ASPH
– Leica Apo-Vario-Elmarit-SL 1: 2.8-4 / 90-280 mm
– Leica Summilux-SL 1: 1.4 / 50 mm ASPH

The new Leica SL (Typ 601) Full Frame mirrorless camera is a very expensive camera, the price is triple for the Sony a7 series camera. So, it could Not be a real Sony FE system competitor.

Here are some rumored specs of this new camera:

  • Full fame camera with autofocus
  • Auto Focus in Camera
  • New line of AF lenses
  • Very good high ISO performance – probably the best in the industry, better than Sony a7S
  • Will be available in stores before Christmas

Stay tuned for more info.
