Here are the detailed specifications of the upcoming GoPro HERO7 Black, Silver and White cameras, which will be officially announced on September 20, 2018. Shipping is scheduled to start on September 28th.

GoPro Hero7 Black

  • 4K60, 2.7K 120, 1440p120, 1080p 240 (same as Hero6)
  • Based on Hero6 GP1 processor, but with an internal optimization
  • Same shape, same battery, same frame as Hero5/6
  • [NEW] Live streaming function (not clear if using 4g/phone/wifi)
  • [NEW] Hypersmooth stabilization provides gimbal-like stabilization, probably better than the Hero6
  • [NEW] HDR
  • [NEW] Portrait orientation
  • [NEW] Scene / smile recognition
  • [NEW] New feature which makes short looping videos of 15 /30 seconds

  • 4K 30FPS, 1440p 60/30, 1080p 60

  • Stabilization (not as good as Hero7 Black)
