The Future Canon High-End Prosumer Cameras Will Focus on Video Capabilities

The latest rumor suggests that the future Canon high-end prosumer cameras (Canon EOS 7D Mark III, EOS 90D and upper models) will focus on video capabilities, in order to compete with the Sony and Panasonic models (Sony a7 III and Panasonic GH5S).

In addition, Canon is planning to accelerate their product development cycle in the next 18-24 months, and video capabilities will be central to it.
