Fujifilm GFX 50S Mark II Will Be Announced on August 27

We already reported that the Fujifilm camera with the code name “FF210001” that was revealed before is the Fujifilm GFX 50S Mark II. Now Nokishita confirmed that the Fujifilm GFX 50S Mark II will be officially announced on August 27, 2021.

Fujifilm’s unreleased digital camera “FF210001” has also passed FCC certification. Equipped with Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11b / g / n) and Bluetooth. Is the size almost the same as GFX100S? The planned release date of detailed materials at this time is August 27, 2021

This new Fujifilm GFX 50S Mark II medium format mirrorless camera is expected to feature the same 50MP sensor as the current GFX 50S, and it will be cheaper than the GFX 100S. So the question is: can the 50MP sensor mentioned for the Fujifilm GFX 50S Mark II be a reorganization of the Sony a1 for medium format?

Fujifilm said in an interview that “100MP machine with IBIS is coming”, but since this camera is 50MP, I am wondering if IBIS (in-body camera shake correction) will be installed.

Fujifilm GFX 50S Mark II Specs Predictions:

  • 51.4MP 43.8 x 32.9mm BSI CMOS Sensor
  • X-Processor 4 Image Processor
  • 4K30 Video; F-Log Gamma, 12-Bit Raw Out
  • 3.2″ 2.36m-Dot Tilting Touchscreen LCD
  • 5.5 fps
  • IBIS (?)
  • Improved AF (40% quicker at least)
  • Improved EVF (flicker)
  • Seperate battery grip
