What we like

  • Compact body with a viewfinder makes it a great choice for photographers on-the-go

What we don’t

  • Focus hunting while in video mode, mediocre performance of IS in video mode
  • Extreme crop when shooting in 4K
  • 10 minute recording time in 4K, 29:59 in 1080p
  • Internal flash won’t work as ‘fill’

Conclusion from DPReview:

The G100 is designed to be a camera for vloggers and content creators but its severe crop in video (especially if you want stabilization) and its inconsistent AF undermine it for that task. It’s a capable enough small interchangeable lens camera but one whose special features aren’t particularly usable.
