Confirmed: the new Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 lens will NOT be available in Sony A-mount.

In February 2017 Tamron officially announced the new SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 lens, which is first available in Canon EF and Nikon F mounts. At that time Tamron didn’t reveal when they will announce the Sony A-mount version. Today Tamron Japan confirmed that they will NOT lanuch the Sony A-mount version of the new Tamron SP 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 lens.
