Canon RF Mount Cinema Camera in Development

In addition to the upcoming high-end Canon EOS R Pro full frame mirrorless camera, Canon is also working on a new RF mount cinema camera for video recording. Sounds exciting!

Since currently the most important thing for Canon is making more native RF lenses, most of the people agree that we won’t see such a RF mount video camera until 2020 at the earliest, and not to expect this kind of hardware announcement for NAB in April of 2019. Maybe the new Canon RF Mount video product is aimed to compete with the Panasonic GH5 and Sony a7S III. And we’ll update the info when we get additional information about this Canon RF mount video product.

In addition, Canon is also developing RF mount wide-angle zoom lens and super telephoto lens, which will be announced in the next 1-2 years.
