Canon Full Frame Mirrorless Camera Rumored to be Announced on September 5

Nikon already announced the new Nikon Z7 and Nikon Z6 full frame mirrorless cameras, so what about Canon? We know Canon will have an announcement on September 5, 2018 (EST), maybe the highly anticipated Canon full frame mirrorless camera is coming…

Recently, a new specification list for the upcoming Canon full frame mirrorless camera surfaced on the web, not confirmed by trusted sources, so we give no rating to these specifications.

Rumored specifications:

  • 28MP full frame sensor
  • Dual Pixel Auto Focus
  • IBIS (In Body Image Stabilisation)
  • 10fps shooting
  • 4k@30fps
  • 1080p@60fps
  • Priced $1,900

We know Canon is actively developing two “prosumer” full frame mirrorless cameras. The flagship one will come first, probably around Photokina 2018 in September. If this specification list above is to be believed, this new model will NOT be a “high end” mirrorless camera, maybe for the Canon EOS M5 Mark II.

While it is still not clear if the Canon full frame mirrorless camera will be announced on September 5, 2018, we are now thinking one is coming on that day.
