Canon EOS C300 Mark II Officially Announced, Price for $16,000

Canon has officially announced the new Canon EOS C300 Mark II cinema camcorder with 4K video recording support and 15-stop dynamic range. It replaced the EOS C300, with a US price for $16,000.

Aimed at professionals broadcasters and movie-makers, the new Canon EOS C300 Mark II cinema camcorder features a new 9.84 megapixel Super 35mm CMOS image sensor that offers a maximum ISO of 102,400 and 15 stops of dynamic range.

The headline-grabbing feature is the all new 9.84 megapixel Super35 size CMOS sensor (8.85 megapixels is used when 4096 x 2160 shooting resolution and 8.29 megapixels when shooting 3840 x 2160 or 1920 x 1080 resolution).

Canon EOS C300 Mark II will be available in September 2015 with a price for $16,000.
