Canon EOS 80D Rumored to Come with 28MP and More Advanced AF System

The Canon EOS 80D (70D successor)  DSLR camera is rumored to feature 28MP and more advanced AF system. The previous rumors said the EOS 80D will be announced in late 2015 with a 28-34MP APS-C sensor.

And, Canon has filed a new patent: EF-S 15-53mm F/2.8-4 Lens for its APS-C sensor DSLR cameras. This should be a fast kit lens for new APS-C DSLR cameras.

Canon EOS 80D Rumored Specs:

  • 28MP APS-C CMOS Sensor & Digic 6+ or 7 Image Processor
  • 3.0″ Vari-Angle Touchscreen LCD Monitor
  • Full HD 1080p Video Capture
  • 49-Point AF System
  • Hybrid CMOS AF III
  • Built-In Wi-Fi Connectivity with NFC
  • Continuous shooting rate of up to 8 fps

They are just rumors, NOT confirmed by trusted sources, so take them with a grain of salt.
