Adobe Premiere Pro now Supports Canon EOS R5

With the June update, Adobe has added support for the Canon EOS R5 files to Premier Pro.

Premiere Pro now supports the following file formats:

  • Enhanced bitrate controls for JPEG 2000 MXF export
  • Import of Canon EOS R5 footage
  • Import of Canon EOS-1D X Mark III footage
  • Import of RED Komodo footage

Adobe Premiere Pro is just the first Adobe product to get official Canon EOS R5 support, I believe all the other products will follow soon.

The highly anticipated Canon EOS R5 and Canon EOS R6 full frame mirrorless cameras will be officially announced together on or around July 2, 2020, depending on where you are in the world. Shipping is scheduled to start at the end of July for a limited supply.
